Sobeya - Ally

 7yo mare

Sire Almanzor (FR)

Dam Vanity Queen (GB) Fastnet Rock

Sobeya was a $160,000 yearling purchase in NZ however was unsuccessful as a racehorse from minimal starts. She has some handy breeding, we have had quite a few nice Almanzor horses come through as well as on her mares side

Sobeya won  $1,125 fro 2 starts 0-0-0 last racing in April 2025. She has arrived to us and settled in quickly. This mare is tough and hardy and absolutely thrives on a job. Whilst no beauty queen she has a cracking canter loves to jump. She gets off the ground well.

This mare could suit a lot of things that don’t include dressage (or showing!) No dirt and has been extremely straightforward, just energetic and a powerful mare. Could make a great teens OTT. Terrific to jump, great out on XC, good to hack out, good with cattle. Sensible around kids, dogs, bikes, machinery etc. I believe she would also be a handy mare for polo crosse, barrel racing, sporting etc. Easy and safe to hack out alone. Ally can be bolshy and wouldn’t suit a nervous/ novice handler. She is paddocked with other geldings at the moment and is more an alpha in the pecking order. Will be available early September following her training and assessment period. Sobeya’s training has been supported by the Racing Victoria PRESET Program Shod in front Up to date with vaccinations, dental and worming.

Windsucks.

Osiris - Oscar

Osiris – Oscar
10yo 16h TB gelding
By Spirit of boom out of a Scaredee cat mare. Oscar was $130,000 yearling purchase in 2018.
He was trained by Ciaron Maher & David Eustace, Scott Westover & Gary Lefoe.
Oscar won $39,404 from 22 starts 1-6-3, last start being Feb ’22
Oscar is somewhat of a boomerang and has returned to us to find his next person. We have followed his journey with his current owner who has done a terrific job with him the last few years. Oscar has been competing up to L3 HRCAV dressage with succuss, and scores of up 74%. He has attended many rallies, clinics, lessons and jump days.
Whilst with us previously we did a lot with him and he now has some solid schooling and education on the flat. He has three good paces and a great canter. Could suit someone looking for a nice OTT dressage mount that can also do a bit of jumping and get out and about with. He has three good paces and carries himself well.
We have footage of him competing in dressage days, having lessons as well as current footage at home with us.
Oscar can be a little spooky and sharp especially when not in full work, and if on rich spring feed. He very much gains confident from his rider, and thrives with a rider that gets on with things. Not suitable for nervous/ novice riders.
Has been excellent to bring back into work. Our riders say he is terrific to ride and jumping feels like he looks after his rider.
